The electronics coming with Morgan to Indicus are all recently updated with lots of life left in them (I hope - famous last words lol). Her desktop computer is custom-built and has a ton of room for expansion. It is about as future-proof as we could make it

"Big Computer" The desktop computer (with super-size monitor). Every few days, close down all the open windows (saving documents if prompted - she is usually good about saving her work, so don't worry overly if you don't save something). Once a week, turn off the entire system for a few minutes then reboot (allowing any updates as necessary). Every night, turn off the monitor (push up on the button under the middle of the monitor for a count of ten). Every morning, turn the monitor back on.

Note: This is the newest/highest tech piece in her arsenal, which is connected to her VHS converter which is the oldest, lowest tech piece still functioning. Sometimes they clash. When the VHS converter software boots up, there is a "warning" that the sound is incompatible (ignore it - it works fine... up to a point...)  If you hear an obnoxious static-whooshing noise and/or see that the VHS software's little monitor window is bright green, stop the converter and power it down. Close all windows and shut down the computer. Unplug the USB cord connecting them (easiest to do on the front of the VHS converter unit). Wait a couple of minutes after all the lights have gone off and restart the computer. Once it has booted up, plug the USB back into the converter. Everything should work fine now (until the next time she converts dozens of tapes in a row...)

2nd Note: If she asks for "Mom Computer Doctor" something is wrong with the computer. Usually it is easily fixed, like an internet connection problem or a driver issue that can be resolved by powering down and then rebooting the system. If it is something more serious that involves getting a professional to fix it, there is a link to the social story I use to let her know what is going on in the blue button below.

"Gray Computer" her Panasonic Toughbook laptop computer. She keeps this on her bed usually. If you close the lid, it will shut down. Every few days, close down all the open windows (saving documents if prompted - she is usually good about saving her work, so don't worry overly if you don't save something). Once a week, turn off the entire system for a few minutes then reboot (allowing any updates as necessary).

"Toshiba"  a portable hard drive connected by USB that she uses to port videos and documents between her computers. Also serves as a backup for her video collection. Never carry this by the cord! (The cord disconnects. Dropping the Toshiba is BAD lol)

"Camera" her smartphone. She has yet to use the phone or text functions, but she does use it to watch Youtube, to take videos (which she uploads to YouTube), and to take pictures. I've included a link below to a social story I made for her when I gave it to her that includes instructions for most of the function of the specific brand of phone she has. Whenever possible, give it a spritz with eyeglass cleaner and wipe it down (it gets dirty fast). When she is asleep, make sure it is sitting on the wireless charger overnight (it will not over-charge... and you really don't want to start her day with a dead phone)

"DVD Player" her portable DVD player that she carries around like a teddy bear. I buy 6 or 8 at a time so there are always backups available when they break (which they do every few months), and try to stick with the same model for as long as possible (so I can keep compatible chargers in every spot she uses them and in every car she travels in. I also make sure there is always a charger and a car charger in her purse). Her current model only charges when it is "off" (not just whenever it is plugged in). So I try to make sure to plug it in and turn it off once she is asleep

"Headphones" sometimes refers to her green sound-blocking headphones, but can also be the headphones I make her use if she is in public with her DVD player or her phone. If she insists on taking both into public, I insist that she has headphones attached for each (and it makes quite the picture to see her with two sets of black audio headphones hanging onto her green sound-blocking ones lol).

Watching videos DVD's on her portable player and YouTube on her phone or her computer

Collecting and watching VHS tapes she likes the physical tapes and the art on the boxes as much as (if not more than) the videos they contain

Making videos for her YouTube Channel MorgyK, usually using her "camera" (cell phone)

Making "Books" stories with images and words in either VizZle or Publisher

Writing "lists" usually on Word or in Publisher on the computer, but sometimes by hand on her clipboard

Art in any form, but especially painting and drawing

Music and music therapy

Karaoke

Going to the beach and swimming (lake or pool) (Note: used to be major preferred activity - much less so since an ear infection a few years ago) She is an excellent swimmer and can handle deep water, water slides, and diving boards with no problem

Swinging on her therapy swing or on playground equipment

Going to the Dog Park she likes to watch the dogs play (from inside the car and/or outside the fence)

Shopping Target, the "VHS store" (thrift stores or Savers), the "Craft store" (Catans, mostly for artificial flowers and crayons)

South Park Mall (but only go during non-peak times) likes going there so much, she even agreed to get her haircuts there at MasterCuts. Loves Build-a-Bear, the pet shop, the arcade, FYE and (especially) ending at the food court for french fries and ketchup

Arcade Games loves going to the arcade at the mall and playing skee ball, ball toss at the clowns, driving games (no fruit stand is safe from her crashing into it!), and surprisingly good at air hockey. Chuck E. Cheese should be avoided because she gets frustrated because she is too big to be allowed on all the games she likes there. We did her last birthday at Dave and Busters, which she seemed to like (though it is pretty overwhelming, and we went at a super-slow time on a week day - wouldn't ever try it at a busy time)

Baking we used to do a lot of scratch baking, but she now very happily "cheats" with store-bought cookie dough and frostings. She particularly likes to make and frost cakes and make cookies

Soap Shop when she was at MTEP, she loved making the soaps in the soap shop

Coloring people's tattoos heavy sigh lol.  Yes - she really does. No visible body art is immune. So keep your tats covered unless you want her working on them with markers. (Below: an MTEP instructor's Buddha tattoo "enhanced" by Morgan Ink... She thereafter referred to it as his "Boomba picture")
