PAJAMAS (AKA JAMMIES, PAJAMMIES)
​By far the most important part of her wardrobe. If she could, she would only wear pajamas. For everything. Always. In the house, don't expect her to wear anything else - it won't happen, no matter how many bribes you try or reasons you give her. The second she hits the door, it's pajammies on. And she won't get dressed unless her pajamas are left waiting for her in her bathroom to change back into when she gets home.

Sourcing Clothing


Morgan is not now, nor has she ever been, a big fan of clothes. And only recently has the weather had any bearing at all on what she will agree to wear. (When she was itty biity, she would happily trounce out into the snow naked and barefoot if we let her...)

Defensive Disclaimer #1...  lol: Yes, she dresses a lot like me (in over-sized, all natural fiber clothing, generally in blues or pinks). I don't know if it's because she imprinted my "look", or because I have a bunch of sensitivities that I passed along to her genetically (cotton is my friend!). Whatever the reason, yes - her clothing choices are sorta mini-me (and way more appropriate to my age group than to hers...). I have tried thousands of dollars worth of younger, more fashionable styles in every "in" colorway and fabric. She wants nothing to do with them. 

General Key Features
Clothing needs to be roomy, soft, tagless, and natural (so it breathes - most man-made fibers make her sweat profusely, and aggravate her sensitive skin. Unless you want to be "skartchez back!"ing constantly, stick to as much cotton as possible.) If it has a tag, remove it immediately (making sure you remove every bit of the pokey plastic thread they sew the tags on with).

In general, you won't find clothing for her locally - you can't buy off the rack for her unique needs, super plus size (since everything has to be roomy, and current fashion trends are tight-fitted) and ... asymmetrical profile. 

She won't cooperate with trying on clothes, so if her body has changed, I buy a couple sizes, wash them all, then take them both for dressing (and hope if it doesn't fit that she'll let me take it off and try another - she doesn't always. It has led to some interesting wardrobe malfunctions...)

In general, having a "blue" color way and "pink" colorway wardrobe of T-shirts keeps her happy. Everything coordinates with her favorite navy blue knit shorts and pants, and her sole pair of acceptable (to her) shoes.

You would think she'd love simple cotton dresses... and she did for many years (it was all she would wear). But currently she prefers T-shirts and shorts (pants if you force the issue - ugh, long pants). There are always a few dresses in her closet (simple cotton - the closest to a sleepshirt you can get) in case she wants to choose them.

SHIRTS

SWIMSUITS
​Talk about a crap-shoot! We have had some major wardrobe malfunctions since she won't try them on, and once on, won't take it off until after swimming >.>.

SHOES
​No matter how many I buy (in how many styles), she will only wear one pair. And when they wear out, it can be a challenge to get her to shift to new ones. Only exception is that she will wear water shoes at the beach​
​Key Features: She has a wide foot, and can't deal with laces. Favorite brand (last 3 pairs) have been Propet Travel Walkers II, but be careful of the ones that have a shiny toe cap (that shiny bit is rigid, and hurt her toes)
